Biography
Well, it's sad, but true, that I have lived a very crazy, and mostly wasted, life. Like my song, 'I Found A Real Love' says, "I searched for pleasure both near and far." I nearly drowned myself in pleasure before I discovered that it wasn't bringing me any peace of mind. I learned to play guitar when I was fifteen-- blame that on John Lennon and Buddy Holly--and somewhere along the way, during all the years that I was a musician, I also became a heroin addict, a criminal, and eventually, a prisoner for many years in Texas and Louisiana. Even though I never hurt anyone, I ain't proud of the things I did. But, I did 'em and the truth always comes out, sooner or later. These days I'm just a simple man following a simple plan and I owe everything to Jesus Christ for changing my life. I also want to thank Him for making it possible for me to have recorded my new CD called 'The Big House On Gold Street'. It's country music with a 'kick' to it and if you like the three songs here on Indie-Music, you can order the CD from my website. Musically speaking, it's a little like each of the artists who influenced me. But the lyrics are a whole 'nuther story. They tell of God's love and mercy, and of my foolishness and self-made troubles, in a way that you probably haven't heard before. In fact, I think I'll just let the music speak for itself. I hope you listen 'cause it's good. Website www.freddiejohnsonsmusic.com E-mail address fj740@verizon.net
