Biography
Marc has spent most of his youth and adulthood involved in scouting and church activities, this included getting out into nature by any means he could. His outings included camping, boating, hunting and fishing with his scout troop and his family. When time and energy let him, Marc spends his days going on shorter trips to cool and unique places for his most current inspirations. He attributes most of the inspiration for his music to places he has actually visited. Marc says that each special place 'sings a song' to him and each carry their own spiritual message and special chord. Marc has visited many states and also a few countries, but the place he calls home right now is in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. Marc states that almost all of his musical songs come forth during or shortly after his visit to a new region, city or area. He feels compelled to write music and compose instrumental songs that bring out the spirit of each place he visits. Marc currently resides in Portland, Oregon. He spends his time writing and producing instrumental, ambient, new age style musical pieces. Marc has been working on a new book entitled a 'Angels of Coincidence' which is a compilations of true recounts of his personal writings about self discovery and insights into our true purpose on earth. Angels of Coincidence is still being completed at this time. How he does his sound magic happen? Marc uses multiple synthesizer instruments, live Instruments and creative computer generated loops and sounds, all combine into a beautiful, ambient soundtrack of light & energetic waveforms! The keyboard gave the current Portland , Ore., resident a large palette of instruments to draw on, while allowing the flexibility to have little experience in producing his own music. "Most of my songs have over 15 different instruments being played simultaneously," he added. "I don't even have 15 friends, let alone ones who could play the correct instruments with any degree of accuracy." The result is something one might find playing softly in a new-age store, but with the added leverage of being image specific, with its jangling repetitions put over top a strong base of tonal colors.
