Officially started by Adam Lane in 2004, Obscure Descension is a solo Elektro/EBM project. Since 1996, Obscure Descension is Adam’s third music project. OD’s music is fueled by anger, depression, and a bit of madness, creating a unique and diverse sound packing cold harsh vocals, crunchy pounding beats, and dark suspenseful synth lines, to slower, dark and fluid instrumental melodies. Adam has been influenced by a broad spectrum of bands such as Combichrist, Diverje, Wumpscut, Tamtrum, Monolith, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, Apoptygma Berzerk, and the Doors, (to name a few). Obscure Descension has released single tracks, collaborations, and remix projects for compilations and streaming internet radio, as well as produced for other artists. Obscure Descension's debut self-titled album released August 13th, 2009.
