Biography
Following the success of their 2004 EP, "Time & Space", which received airplay on more than 130 college radio stations in the US, Soular returns with "Love Crash Heal", an ambitious, inspired collection of new songs. Melodic structures and spacey sonic dins come together to define Soular’s distinct brand of atmospheric modern rock.
Based in the unlikely music locale of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Soular was formed in 2002 when longtime friends Marsh Shamburger and Jared Ashcraft began a musical collaboration. They added versatile drummer Ian Byrd in 2003, and guitarist Brian Lee, who joined the band in February 2005, who contributes unbridled guitar presence, singing, and songwriting.
The "Time & Space" release took the band to a new level of creativity and exposure, appearing on the CMJ 200 chart for several months months in 2005. Continuing to build an audience, Soular has maintained a relentless touring schedule for the past three years and has recently opened for artists including Liz Phair, Pinback, Louie XIV, Blue Man Group, Vertical Horizon, Longwave and The Fray.
